I am Petra Melendez, I was born and raised in the United States and happily married with four children. I have over 15 years of experience as a paralegal in immigration law. From 2008 to 2019 I was employed by Davis & Associates, an immigration law firm. During that time, I grew to love the immigration field, gained valuable skills as a writer and become an expert in Waivers, VAWA and U visa cases.

 

I learned in depth about the immigration process and requirements. Throughout these years I have help many families. I have always taken that extra step to assist our clients however I can, for their case to be successful.

My parents immigrated to the United States from Mexico in the 1970s. Therefore, I understand the immigrants’ sorrows, obstacles and barriers, uncertainty of their future, and empathize with them. I take pride in my work and have always treated my clients like family by being open, direct and honest. All my clients have been treated with dignity, respect and attention they deserve.

Some of the happiest moments of my life are when a client calls to notify me that their case has been approved and in part because of the affidavits CartasPro created for them. It brings smile to my face and gives me the energy and enthusiasm to go to work the next day.

I really enjoy what I do for a living. I thrive on it. Every day brings me new challenges, and every day brings exciting new people into my life and I am thankful for that.

As the founder of CartasPro, I have made it my mission to help as many people as I can by providing them access to my knowledge and assisting them during the difficult moments of their immigration process. After all we are all one big family. I believe it is good to give back to our community, be involved, and do things for others, for some reasons other than mine.
